Day two of our trip west led us to Badlands National Park, Wall Drug and then to our final resting place for the next few days, Keystone, South Dakota.
There are hay bails everywhere but we have never seen this configuration. |
Entering the Badlands...Kate will be in heaven! |
A picnic lunch in the Badlands which involved a little rock climbing and rock gathering. |
This lunch friend would not leave us alone. |
Watching nature at it's best! A thunderstorm in the distance... |
Another beautiful South Dakota field. |
Entering Wall Drug and a paradise for the girls! |
There's a chapel at Wall Drug! I thought it was very pretty and peaceful unlike the rest of the place! |

Keystone, South Dakota
We ate at a local restaurant for pizza and we loved that the menu was hand written. Jeff also enjoyed a beverage that was very reasonably priced for the size! The girls were introduced to more bar sports by the owner's sons and they really didn't want to leave. After dinner we walked down town and took in the fudge shop where we tried the Penuche which is made with brown sugar. This was also home to the largest peanut butter cup! |
